Okay, here's the entry I promised you.  My friend,Caleb Eby, a 19 year-old college freshman wrote this very personal entry on Modesty, (if you don't think that modesty has anything to do with purity, read on.) I acctually had a conversation about modesty with him once, and his straight forwardness blew me away, I'm sure it will blow you away, too.

Here it Goes:

Basically I want girls to realize how hard they can make it for guys, but also how they can be hurting themselves when they dress immodestly.  I'm sure you have heard that guys are sexually aroused by simply looking at a girl.  Well, it is true.  I don't care for what the reasons a girl will dress a certain way, but it still makes it difficult for me.  As a Christian I want to live my life for God and to honor Him in everything I do, this includes remaining pure.  I don't want to lust or do anything thing impure, but there are more than enough temptations out in the world to make this a daily struggle or battle for me.  What makes me sad is when it is  my own sister in Christ, a Christian girl, who tempts me and causes me to stumble.  An example of this, is when I was at a basketball game at school, and I saw a Christian friend of mine ( a girl) who was dressed fashionably, and, I might add, very  immodestly.  I couldn't stop thinking about what I saw, and ended up having to leave the game and pray so that I would not fall into the temptation to lust.  It is not always like that, but it is still sad that Christian guys have to struggle to remain pure and retain pure thoughts because of their own fellow Christians!
When a girl dresses indescently or immodestly, it is hard for me to get to know her inner self, her real self, because I am distracted by her outward appearance.  Whenever I think of her or see her, I can only see how she looks, and I often struggle not to lust.  If I'm not careful, she simply becomes someTHING, not someONE.  On the other hand, I know some girls who dress descently, and I can get to know THEM a lot easier because their outward appearance does not get in the way.  I can also respect them a lot more because they are not showing off their bodies but are showing themselves, and are showing off Christ inside of them.
To any girl that dresses modestly (and I think you know what is modest and immodest)  THANK YOU SOOO MUCH !
When I said that those girls dressed descently, I didn't mean that they were not pretty, or that it is wrong to be beautiful.  On the contrary, most of the girls that I mentioned, were very beautiful and because I could see their real selves, their personality and most of all Christ inside of them, it added to their beauty.  Some of the more "plain" girls were still beautiful because of their inner beauty.
If you are a Christian, here is my challenge to you.  God made you beautiful, so use it not for yourself, but for Christ.  There is a quote "I will not let my outward appearance take away from Christ inside me"  One more question/challenge.  Is how you dress, promoting or demoting the gospel of Christ?
PLEASE, dress with care.  Look beautiful by all means, but do so modestly.  Please do it for our sake (guys), for your sake (so that others can see your real self) and for Christ's sake (you represent Christ).
Once again, THANK YOU to those of you who dress descently.
